Wisconsin: Governor Scott Walker Suspends Four-Day October Hunt in the South-Central Chronic Wasting Disease Zone

In response to the report prepared by Wisconsin Deer Trustee, Dr. James Kroll, Governor Scott Walker has cancelled Wisconsin’s controversial four-day October deer hunting season.  This action was deemed necessary to help restore the decimated deer population resulting from attempts to manage chronic wasting disease, which has ravaged south-central Wisconsin.  The traditional nine-day hunt in November will still proceed as planned.
